Vaelmont

We didn't start this company because we saw a market gap on a slide. We started it because we lived the mountain, the machines, the craft, and we couldn't unsee what was broken.

Our story

Three people, three different entry points into the same world.

Craft

One of us spent a decade in front of a camera, obsessing over the difference between something that looks finished and something that's actually made with care.

Business

One of us spent five years inside the ski industry's back office, watching brilliant instructors drown in fragmented messages, bookings and admin they never had the systems to manage.

The mountain

One of us spent winters on the mountain itself, teaching, learning that helping someone find flow is a craft, and that the craft deserves better tools than it's been given.

Different rooms, same observation: the people doing the real work (instructors, operators, anyone with real skill) are the ones the industry keeps failing. Not because they lack talent. Because nobody built them anything that respects what they do.

That's the gap we're closing with Vaelmont. Not with more noise. With something built the way the work itself should be: precise, honest, and made to last.

What we believe

Three principles

01

Beauty is not decoration.

It's what's left when something has been made with real care instead of rushed to market. We treat detail as a responsibility, not a luxury.

02

Trust is earned, never assumed.

Every relationship we build, with instructors, with operators, with each other, is built slowly, on follow-through, not on a pitch.

03

Technology is a means, never the point.

It should make the complicated parts of a business simpler, so the human relationships underneath it, the ones that actually make people come back, stay intact instead of getting automated away.

The people

The team

Federico Novello

Co-Founder, ArmoFlow · Visual Merchandise

Federico grew up in the mountains above Biella. Science secondary school, then paths through engineering, philosophy and economics he never finished in the traditional sense: by twenty Milan, by twenty-one Paris.

The first ticket to London, bought on his own, changed the scale. Years of essential travel and ten years modeling across Italy, Spain, the UK, France and the US sharpened his eye for what is truly well made.

That standard is what he brings to Vaelmont: build something quietly excellent and let craftsmanship speak, not noise.

Quiet excellence. Trust earned, not performed.

Federico Ivaldi

Co-Founder, ArmoFlow

Federico has been skiing since he was two years old, racing at Sauze d'Oulx before the mountain gave way, for a while, to books: Economics and Finance at Sapienza University in Rome, then a master's in International Business Management in the UK.

He spent close to five years in the ski industry, joining when the company had around fourteen people and staying through its growth to roughly eighty, developing the Italian market and working directly with instructors, ski schools and resort partners across Europe. That job gave him something no MBA could: a ground-level understanding of how instructors actually run their business, not just how they teach.

He saw excellent instructors buried under messages and admin without systems. He brought the founding team together around one idea: simplify without stripping out relationships. He brings patience for slow trust and little tolerance for shortcuts.

Technology should make complex work simpler without removing the human relationships that make it valuable.

Aaron McKay

Co-Founder, ArmoFlow

Aaron's path started teaching skiing in Winter Park, Colorado. A brief bank detour didn't last. He went back to teaching at the Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

That's where the craft clicked into place. Not just the technique of skiing, but the harder, quieter skill underneath it, helping someone find flow on the mountain, and understanding how much work that actually takes to do well.

A move to London put him in a startup building a ski-instructor marketplace, and from there the throughline was direct: keep making instructors' working lives better so they can focus on what they're passionate about.

Trying to anticipate the next obstacle.
