How to book a private transfer to Verbier without surprises
A private transfer up the mountain sounds simple until the first off-season snowfall hits. Here's what we always ask before confirming one, after two seasons coordinating them on behalf of our operators.
The road to Verbier closes more often than clients expect — not for the snow itself, but for the salting trucks that follow. Confirming arrival time with a thirty-minute buffer, not ten, avoids most of the frantic 6pm calls.
The three most common mistakes
The first is not asking how many ski bags there are at booking time. The second is ignoring lift closing time when planning the return leg. The third, the costliest, is confirming a partner on price alone, without route coverage for snow.
What we always ask
Before confirming any transfer in Vaelmont we check three things: real vehicle capacity against the declared bags, an alternate route the driver already knows, and a direct phone number for the day itself.
